Questions brides ask
Short, honest answers about trying on wedding dresses virtually with TryBridal.
How can I see myself in a wedding dress before trying it on?
Upload one photo of yourself, head to toe, and pick a gown from our catalog of 336 real designer wedding dresses. TryBridal makes a photo of you wearing it in about a minute, so you can shortlist the styles worth trying at your fitting. Start here.
Is virtual wedding dress try-on accurate?
It is a realistic preview, not a fitting. It keeps your face, skin tone and body shape and shows how the gown's silhouette, neckline and fabric look on you. It cannot tell you how the dress fits or feels, and fine details such as lace patterns can differ from the real gown. Use it to narrow down styles before you visit a boutique.
Which wedding dress silhouette suits my body type?
There is no strict rule. A-line suits almost every figure; a ball gown adds drama and balances fuller hips or a slim frame; mermaid and fit-and-flare show off curves; a sheath or column gives a clean, long line. The quickest way to know is to see one of each on yourself and compare.
Do you keep my photo?
Your photo is used only to make your try-ons. It is never shared, sold or used to train AI models. If you have an account, your photos and results stay in your History so you can come back to them, and you can delete them, or your whole account, at any time. On a bridal boutique's own TryBridal page, try-on results are deleted after 24 hours.
Is it free?
Your first try-on is free, with no card needed. After that you buy credits, one credit per dress, in packs of 5, 20 or 50. There is no subscription and credits never expire. Try-ons on a bridal boutique's own TryBridal page are free for brides.
Can I try a dress from a specific designer?
Yes. The catalog has 336 dresses from 30 designers, including Pronovias, Galia Lahav, Milla Nova, Prea James, Lihi Hod. Open a designer's page or search the catalog, pick a gown and press Try on.
How do I book an appointment at a boutique?
TryBridal does not take bookings itself. Once you have a shortlist, contact a bridal boutique that stocks the designer (most designers list their stockists on their website) and bring your try-on pictures so the consultant knows which styles you like. If you came from a boutique's own TryBridal page, use its Book your appointment button.
What photo should I upload?
Any photo where we can see you from head to toe: a mirror selfie or a photo a friend took. For the best result, stand facing the camera with your arms relaxed, wear fitted clothes, and use even light and a plain background. Avoid coats, baggy clothes, other people in the frame and heavy filters.
I own a bridal boutique. Can my brides use this?
Yes. Boutiques get their own try-on page with their dresses, and brides who try on there can book an appointment with you. See TryBridal for bridal boutiques.
